Nail-It Platform: Win 95/98//2000/XP/NT ©Don Neufeld Good things come in small packages.......a simple, small-footprint program which solves an annoying and perpetual visual issue not yet addressed in Windows 2000: the ability to keep a window of choice on top enabling you to work on a background application while benefiting from the contents of the top window. Nail It is the perfect tool for "nailing" your selected window on top of the others. Just click on the EXE to run the program -- an icon (which resembles a piece of notepaper) appears in the system tray. Either double-click, or right-click and select "Nail" from the context menu, and your mouse pointer becomes a thumbtack. Just direct the tack to your target window and click. Whenever your Nail It tray icon has a blue thumbtack in it, you know the active window you're working in is nailed. To un-nail, just right click, select Un-Nail, and your mouse pointer becomes a red "X'ed" thumbtack. Click on the target window to un-nail. You might choose to place a short-cut to the executable file in your Start Up group so that it is readily available on boot-up All Windows Platforms: Download here.(size 12kb, zip format) |
